Does anyone out there know any great homemade dog treats that are easy to make? Some that require Ingredients most people have in their house and/or ones that don’t need to be baked.
ANY recipes will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I am in the UK. Some of the treats which I will list are things that you can buy at the Supermarkets. Don’t buy rubish treats from pet shops, they are full of nasty chemicals and they are very expensive. I never just give my dogs treats, they have to earn them.
I am never harsh, I am keen on training. and I adore dogs. However I never give my dogs treats or even a hug if they do not earn this. A world renowned behaviourist told me "never give a dog owt for nowt"
I think that because of how I dispense their treats, they know that I am the boss.
My apologies, I tend to be long winded. Have a look at what I use as training treats and what I use for rewards.
IDEAS FOR TRAINING TREATS
Cooked Chicken – Iceland and Aldi have pieces of cooked chicken it’s available in bags which are about the size of a bag of frozen chip. The pieces of chicken are the size of a frozen chip. Dogs love this, I defrost the amount which I need for a training session and for my GSD’s, I chop the pieces into the size of my little finger nail It’s cheaper than commercial dog treats and much healthier.
Black Pudding – Is fantastic. It’s available from butchers and supermarkets. Chop it up, bag it and freeze it.
Cheese – Buy a large block of HARD cheese, chop it up, bag it and freeze it.
Sausage – It’s available as hot dogs in tins or you can simply buy ordinary sausage from the butchers, cook it, slice it and then freeze it. Supermarkets also sell cooked smoked sausage which you can also chop up and freeze
Liver cooked in the oven, diced and frozen.I
Liver cake – l/2 Ib liver, l/2 Ib plain flour, 1 egg, several cloves of garlic.
Liquidize the liver and squash up the garlic, mix everything together OR just put everything into a food processor. The consistency should be the same as a Christmas cake. Cook in a Swiss roll tin, cool and cut in to treat size pieces and freeze.
Hopefully the above will help and that you can buy them in your neck of the woods.
These cakes are pretty easy

My wife and I make these treats for our dogs and they love them! They are very easy to make. Unfortunately, I don’t know of any that don’t need to be baked.
2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 cup peanut butter (chunky or smooth, organic if you want healthy)
1 cup milk (use powdered milk for longer preservation)
Preheat oven to 375′F. In a bowl, combine flour and baking powder. In another bowl, mix peanut butter and milk, then add to dry ingredients and mix well. Place dough on a lightly floured surface and knead. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness and use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes. Bake for 20 minutes on a greased baking sheet until lightly brown. Cool on a rack, then store in an airtight container. Once cool, store in the refridgerator.
If you would like to try a sample, I am running a special right now at my online store – http://www.momandpawshop.com FREE treats with $20 purchase!
i make my dogs carrot peanut butter oat cookies in the dehydrator- i basically grate up the carrot, put all the ingredients in the food processor, and then dehydrate them (either in bars, or in small circles)
the only thing is that they don’t keep unless frozen.
i have a great recipe for Raw Cookies for people too, that dogs can eat if you omit the rasins- but they’re usually too tasty to feed the dogs.
I have a great "recipe" for a hot summer day. Ever tried those freezer popsicles where you squeeze from the bottom and out comes the popsicle? Yeah you need that floppy tube.
You need:
The "floppy" plastic tube. Cleaned out.
Water
Dog treats or kibble.
Now, put some dog treats into the plastic tube. Pour in water. Stick it in the freezer for 3 hrs or so and Have your dog eat the ice! He will love the dog food or treats inside!
I have ton of recipes on my site http://www.DoggyDessertChef.com. You might have what you need for the Love Pups already.
